ACTIVATE
This well-rounded blend has been designed to give your soil a welcomed boost.
Activate contains a balanced ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium that will serve as a baseline for your annual program. In addition to these macronutrients, every granule has been coated with a full range of micronutrients for a complete feed. Activate is a maintenance fertilizer that can be applied to all soil types.
The following supplemental products should be utilized as specified in Your Nutrition Program.

'Activate'
ALL SOIL
23 - 5 - 14
+ micronutrients

'Build'
SOIL with LOW PHOSPHORUS (P)
0 - 20 - 12
+ magnesium
BUILD
This blend will be included in Your Nutrition Program for soils that exhibit insufficient levels of phosphorus.
Build contains nutrients that are essential for the development of new seedlings, overall maturation, and the establishment of a strong root system.
Products with a high phosphorus content are best applied after aerating or prior to topdressing in order to prevent runoff.
FORTIFY
If a soil test indicates that the base saturation of potassium is not optimal, Fortify will be included in Your Nutrition Program.
Potassium is largely responsible for increased resistance to pests and disease as well as improved drought tolerance. In addition, this blend will address low magnesium. Maintaining a healthy balance between potassium and magnesium is critical to the performance of your landscape.
Fortify is also formulated with organic matter to promote microbial activity and increase water holding capacity.

'Fortify'
SOIL with LOW POTASSIUM (K)
0.5 - 0.3 - 20
+ organic matter

'Detox'
SOIL with HIGH SODIUM (Na)
calcium sulphate
DETOX
If a soil test indicates high levels of sodium, this product will appear on Your Nutrition Program.
Detox is a natural way to relieve your soil of sodium. Excessive sodium can be harmful to the root system, burn foliage, and reduce the ability of a plant to repair damage. The most common source of sodium in a residential setting is winter road salt. Given enough natural rainwater, this excess could be leached out of the soil in time. However, it is likely that more would have accumulated long before this process could occur naturally.
CQA Approved Compost
NEUTRALIZE
If a soil test indicates high levels of acidity – low pH, this product will appear on Your Nutrition Program.
Nutrient availability is directly related to soil pH. Certain plants require acidic conditions (like blueberries, azaleas, and some hydrangeas) but most will thrive in soils with a neutral pH.
Neutralize should only be used as indicated on Your Nutrition Program.

'Neutralize'
SOIL with LOW pH
dolomitic limestone
COMPOST
Your Nutrition Program is a comprehensive plan that goes beyond feeding alone. The introduction of high-quality organic matter is crucial to soil health. Compost has been proven to increase moisture retention, improve soil structure and even fend off disease by boosting microbial activity. As a bonus, utilizing compost on a regular basis will help to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills.
CQA (Compost Quality Alliance) is a voluntary program established by the Compost Council of Canada in conjunction with compost producers. CQA members follow standardized methodologies to ensure high quality from production to utilization. Although Your Nutrition Program recommends using CQA approved sources, it is understood that they are not yet widely available. Going forward, A&L will continue to work closely with the Compost Council of Canada to improve access to this hugely beneficial commodity.
